Director of Gift Planning, UVA Health

Erin Hughey-Commers, Ed.D., Director of Gift Planning for UVA Health, has served as an "embedded" gift planning liaison to UVA Health for four years, training, coaching, and partnering with 16+ fundraisers across six teams within UVA Health. Within this time, planned gifts raised annually for UVA Health have increased by 270%, to nearly 40 million. Erin has been a member of the UVA Office of Gift Planning for eight years, and before that served as a major gift officer for the UVA School of Nursing. Her previous experience includes fundraising and program management at Piedmont Virginia Community College.
